Whats with the horrible casting. Jay Zhou as Takumi? and Edison as Ryosuke? Thats so bad. The only ones i agree with is Bunta, Jordan Chan as the EvoIII driver and Sor Keung, as the AE85 driver. Haha.

I also found out that there wont be the FD in the movie, just the FC, so no Keisuke. ***. Thats my fav. character. Oh and the EvoIII is part of NiteKids and not part of Emporer. Werid.

The cast is all messed up like yao said bunta and suichi are good choices. Jay Zhou as takumi common!!!! Mr. Zhou can barely speak without mumbling, well atleast there will be some good drifto!!!!!

however - everything is filmed in japan, and they r colaborating with the creators and stuff. and thank the lord for them not doing the driving. i am sure the D1 guys will be around to help out, wonder who would be doing the tech support? Apexi? Blitz? etc...

and the storyline ... it has always been very hard to translate complex stories into film, or manga/games/tv series. craming a seasons worth of storyline into 90min is impossible as usual.

but as big as a fan of Jay, i still think he doesn't fit the role of takumi...iono, it's just two different personality i guess... but it would be interesting to see how it turned out to be...

also, it's obvious who's gonna be in the sound track! com'n, Jay, Edision, Jordon, they're all singers...even the actor who plays takumi's dad had albums before if i'm not wrong~ :p

oh, finally, i think Keiichi Tsuchiya is the director for the car action part, at least he's the director in initial D animations, so i think the drifting part would be very cool~ :D

I agree with all that was said.. just wanted to add this trailer makes me feel like its going to be like the live action street fighter movie... the worse casting in the world and even worse action...

Jay looks ok as Takumi, but if Edison Chan is going to be Ryuosuke, well, he doesn't come across smart enough for it ;) Anthony Wong as Bunta is great though. :D

I don't think any of them are any type because they AREN'T JAPANESE, and they AREN"T ANIMATED. But I have no idea what I'm talking about.
