I am just curious to what brands you guys are running in your car. I heard the radio ad about Quick Trips gas and went to their web site and pulled this

"Yes. QuikTrip Guaranteed Gasoline with IQ has been recognized and approved by a group of four automobile manufacturers as a TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline. This group, consisting of General Motors, Toyota, BMW and Honda, has created a deposit control standard for TOP TIER gasoline that exceed those of the EPA."

I usually use Chevron and have to use Mobil when I mix race fuel (40th and Chandler Blvd). I have also read about adding toluene to get a higher octane rating. I had DynoComp tune it on 91 pump gas so I have been using that more as of late rather than mixing the race gas for a 94 octane. They are building a QT around the corner from where I live so I might give that a try and see how their gas is.

Chevron.. Mobil.. particular circle-k's (only if I know the managers..)

I stay away from the others.. ESPECIALLY QT.. I used QT in my truck for a long time.. I had some fuel line issues, hesitation, timing, etc.. I had my truck looked at by a personal auto tech and the problem was fixed and it was largely due to the piss-gas from QT...This was however, before their "top-tier" rating stuff... might have changed, but I'll take no chances anyways..

And before we get into the "all gas is the same valley" issue.. I'll say that it is for the most part.. The difference is in additives (i.e. Chevron w/Techron), cleanliness of storage tanks, AND the frequency at which they have their fuel filters changed...

Exxon or lately, I've been using the new Shell V10, its a few cents more, but I feel like its worth it (then again that could be in my head, regardless, i like the feeling :) )
