Power Windows - Does everyone pretty much lose their power windows in the winter? I noticed this quite a bit last year. My windows freeze and thaw so much and end up freezing closed. When I try to put the window down, it gets stuck or just doesn't go. Sometimes I just have to give it a little(hard) push

Windshield wipers - Does everyone just use the Trico winter blades? or whatever the Shuck's brand is. I have the same problem with ice build up and my wipers freezing to my windshield. Also the massive snow/ice build up just below where they rest. I find myself tapping them so they rest just above my defrosters.

Rear Deck - When my car somewhat cold, I get this real bad squeeky noise that sounds like my rear window is about to fall out or my rear deck is rubbing against something, but as soon as the car warms up it goes away.

More to add as it gets colder...

PS - someone remind me why we live here

All people have problems with any windows when they get wet and then freeze. Withouth being in a garage, to help them dry, you will have a problem all winter there.

Also, everyone has problems with wipers unless your cool enough to have wiper heaters. I just winter blades, scrap and clean very well below the blades.

Having a garage is a +, thats why I pay for it...

Some things that solved my window sticking problems when I lived up there:
>A little Vaseline in the weather stripping at the top of the windows. Just a smear all the way around. Make sure that you don't roll them down all the way, or it'll streak down your windows when they come back up.
>Take apart your doors and clean off all of the old lube (from every linkage and gear) with some electrical component cleaner. Replace the lube with a Teflon-based product like T-25B (white gun lube). It won't thicken up in the cold. I didn't have the WRX up there, but this worked on 2 Jeeps and a Ford truck, so it should apply here as well.
