Either Santa Fe, or Alberqueqe (sp)?
Is there anyone here from those 2 towns who knows what the crime is like in those towns? Im sure they prolly have there bad parts, but Ive never been there before. Im just worried about moving there and constantly worrying about having my car stolen. Any help?
Thanks,
Josh

Albuquerque. :)
I wouldn't expect the crime to be any worse than that of NJ. My folks have lived here for 12 years now, and never had a problem. I've been here a total of 8 years, and also no problem. Of course, I do drive a station wagon...

Eric,
Thats awesome. Some parts of NJ arent bad at all, like where I live. Half the time my parents dont even lock their doors, but then again, nobody lives next to us, lol.
Other parts, closer to NYC, I wouldnt leave my WRX alone for 5 min.
Would you happen to know what the ballpark figure is to rent an average to small size apartment in Albuquerque?

IMO, crime here in ABQ is worse than it should be.
As for apartments, about $400 is the least you'll pay for an apartment. My $400/mo including utilities came with free drug dealers and car break ins. Expect to pay more like $550 with utilities for a nicer place. There's nicer/new buildings that are more than that too.
It's cheaper to find a room at someone's house usually, if you don't mind roomies.
