Got NOS?

Man, I didn't see one Impreza in that movie. Even the car scenes weren't really that great. I thought Driven was better. Anyone care to comment?

There was a Rally Blue 2.5RS with Prodrive P7s, they showed it's "ass" at one of the scenes... it was so clear!

oh well, the movie to me..... kind of exciting.. but eveything so fake.... and come on... NOS?? that's not really racing!

What scene was the RS in? I'll have to look for it when I see it again :)

I liked it, worth another screening, But not 3 times ;)

I really enjoyed it.

You have to have a willing suspension of disbelief when you watch most movies. Especially this one.

Watching a movie like this, do you really give a damn about the plot and acting? come on! :)

I thought the action sequences were very well done. I barely breathed in the last civics/semi scene.

The cars were ricey, yes, but you really dont think it was cool to see them waaaaaaa, psshhhhh by constantly?

I was grinning ear to ear, when I heard the blow offs and nos spray. It was good entertainment.

I also liked all the car/action scenes. Very exciting.

Didn't go watch it for the plot, acting, etc...if you are, you're there for the wrong reasons!

Lots of ppl complain that it wasn't realistic. Trust me, its as realistic as Hollywood gets. I was surprised I UNDERSTOOD all the technical babble they threw around. :)

But the use of NOS(tm) was pretty lame, can you say Product Placement? :rolleyes:

Funny movie. Sort of a cross between Mad Max, The Killer, and Pearl Harbor (threw that in because all the Asians are bad guys). ;) We had a mini-meet today (in California) to see it. Everyone agreed that the technical stuff was mostly accurate, except for the NOS fetish and "MoTEC exhaust system" (huh?).

Trust me on this one though -- that movie is soooooo L.A. :lol:

it was an ok movie. i also thought driven was better. can't explain why... just thought that way. oooh, here's the best part. when Johnny Tran and his cousin were shooting at Brian w/ the machine guns, not *one* shot hit the Supra, and yet Brian got all of his shots on Johnny after pulling that nice e-brake stop. amazing eh? :b

I thought the movie was awesome, no gripes here. It's a summer movie and it serves its purpose. All sorts of nice eye candy in it too, some nice cars too :D.

oh my god....how can i missed that RBP Impreza in the movie?

most ppl uses NOS for Drag Racing...one easy and cheap (or i should say affordable) step up at ur engine performance....

not everyone can afford a Spoon engine w/ T3/T4 Turbo w/ NOS....not like one of the guy can afford to order 3 sets in the movie....coz that's a movie....hehe

couldn't imagine when the Spoon engine is running at 9000rpm w/ the T3/T4 running so hot and the NOS is at full shot....

so NOS is not cheating....u can't run NOS when u are racing around the mountain areas....at least i won't....just a good way to go fast on STRAIGHT!!!

I watched the movie tonight. Since everyone here seems to have seen it I thought I had to so I could contribute to the discussion.

My opinion.....Annnhhh. So-so. The driving scenes were good but there should have been more of them. The acting was....uhhh...sucky. The cars were ok but way to much rice-age. Stickers......weak. I prefer the sleeper mobile, or at least a little tamer looking.

Plot, dialogue etc were weak and I expected that. NOS was out of control. I am far more impressed by a car that can tear it up w/o NOS.

Oh well....for a little change in the blood pressure this movie worked.

For me ne, it's a quite nice movie ..at least I won't feel boring but exciting!! :p

althought some scence is really unrealistic... how can u hit by big truck and the car flip over..and u still can walk out w/ nothing and drive again?? :P

I watched the first one in Japan so it was in French with Japanese subtitles. I don't think I missed too much in the way of dialogue!! Anyways, I'm interested to hear how Taxi 2 was and if anyone knows where to get it?

I believe I can find it somewhere in my room, in chinese and english sub-title. I have to dig it out though. My room always like get robbed, so no idea how long it takes to find the VCD.

taxi 2 is hilarious, my friend had it on dvd. we watched the entire movie in pure french, no subtitles. those black lancers were very nice.

I've Taxi and Taxi 2 in my house.. haha.. VHS of coz with chinese subtitles.

I have the Taxi DVD. But in raw French w/o any subs! Damn, I thought they had english subs when I bought it! :rolleyes: If ya want, I WILL bring it to the meet and watch it in nice DVD quality with surround sound and stuff :)

You can get VCD versions of both movies that have English subs on them. Not sure where tho.

Taxi and Taxi2 are both really fun movies.
Taxi has a better plot imo. And is more realistic than Taxi2 (relatively speaking).

Don't expect realism, just expect fun. I love them.
