View Full Version : GReddy's new E-Manage system
Anybody know if the new GReddy E-Manage system will work with the EJ25 or the US EJ20 WRX? I have seen alot of ads for it where I am and a few drag races who are using it. Its supposed to rival the FCON V Pro setups and be hundreds of dollars cheaper. You can use baseline maps, fine tuen the baseline maps, or custom build your own maps from scratch. I was thinking of running the setup on my GTS4 and take it back to the US with me when I leave to use it there. For about $300 US its not a bad deal at all. If it will work.

They list alot of the EJ20 cars over alot of years so maybe the new US model will be included. I tried to find info on it in English but since it just came out here in Japan I can't find anything yet. Its something you might want to look for when it does finally make it your way.
I almost forgot. From what I have been told so far it also allows you to scrap your stock MAF setup and use any air flow measuring device that you want. The one car I have seen it on was a older Skyline that was using a GTR air flow sensor.
8Complex 06-25-2001, 08:46 PM Does it deal with timing as well? Strange... it's like a $283 programmable ECU...
I'm not sure yet but it looks like as soon as the local shop can get one instock I will be dropping it into the Skyline since it needs some tuning anyways. If I find out it can alter the timing as well then I will post here to let you know.

Since its an index field where all you are doing is entering in values then it shouldn't really matter either way but GReddy usually sends out a few different language versions with all of their products so its not likely to be a problem. By the time it hits the US it will definately come in a English version. I'm just not willing to wait that long and have already ordered mine. Too bad its freakin back ordered for now. I'm still going to let you know when I get mine and install it.

where are you "Not the US"?

Keiho 07-03-2001, 08:05 PM He's in Japan. :)
Time will tell if Trust releases this product to North America I guess. I'm hoping they do, cause it looks to be quite the kit.
BADWRX 07-04-2001, 12:03 AM I have the ad in my brand new CarBoy Magazine. Here is what it controls:
1. Airflow control
2. Valve timing control and lift control?
3. connects to a PC.
4. Injector contorl
5. real time PC data logging.
Those are the 5 functions that are listed in the Japanese Ad in CarBoy.
I think that Trust is going to win big with this unit. Is it a replacement for the stock ECU? I hope so, I hope that it is not a damn Piggyback...Piggybacks suck!

I was hoping to setup the MAS from a truck (hotwire setup) so that I can use a larger inlet and then mount it directly to the throttle body of the Skyline. Reason is I have had a couple IC pipe blow off before and it sucked being stuck on the side of the road. Placing the MAS directly infront of the throttle body also allows for it to more accurately read the air flow. Basically its going to be setup as a push type of MAS instead of the stock pull type. It will also allow me to use a really large cone filter and intake pipe leading to the intake of the turbo. I can also use a generic unit instead of having to order the exact one for my car ($40 instead of $120). Besides if I ever need to change my MAS for some reason and I can't find the exact one I can always change to something else. Man I hope I get my freakin kit soon. The only car that I have seen it mounted in so far had the unit in the glove box so I have no idea if its a replacement or a piggy back. All I know is its got almost all of the same functions as the FCON V Pro but its $900 cheaper.
Orbiter 07-11-2001, 09:04 PM i was gonna ask my friend to bring this back from Japan for me. But researching further. All the windows based software is japanese. So tuning will be very difficult.
And it does not have a boost controller built in.
oh and this is definately a piggyback system.
