If you read a few of those posts you'll get some good info on the Hydra. How do I like it? It is great. It is eveything that I wanted when I bought a utec. It works and is consistent in all weather conditions. One of my favorite features is the knock thershold map. Check it out once you download the software. It is under select->control 1-> knock threshold.

Yeah, I love my Hydra, it's a got a huge feature set. My car runs better than it ever did stock off boost and makes great power on boost. Far and away the best thing I've ever done to the car.
Also, like CK02WRX mentions, check out the knock threshold map once you have the car running. When it's setup conservatively, just run the car thru the rev range -- this will graph a bunch of white Xes on the knock threshold map. All you have to do is adjust the knock threshold curve so it's a couple points above the graphed points and *poof* closed loop knock control tuned for your engine. There's a couple other tables where you can set how much fuel it will add and how much timing it will pull when you get a excessive knock.
Basically it's better than you imagine. You'll love it once you get used to it.

Nice. I am more and more considering it every single day. I can't believe I haven't added it to the virtual cart yet ;) I've avoided the UTEC. It always just left a bad taste in my mouth.

OK so I downloaded the software, and I am trying to get a grip on it, but how the hell do I edit any of the cells. If I go to the fuel map and try to alter a value in any of the cells, it doesn't do a fricking thing

nevermind, I figured it out, apparently in setting when you have it on auto tune you can't alter anything
