Running a stand alone in your daily driver IMO is a no no. It makes like a pian in the ass. The wiring may take a bit longer, but its so much more worth it then trying to deal with a link or paying for a hydra.

with the v5/6 and some below you can use the PowerFC standalone. Which is completely plug n play. Then all you'd need is the hand commander and a decent tuner to get it running the way you want it. Then later take it to a real excel dealer.

i have a tec and it rips right along .. but its not a daily driver
if i had to do it again i would start with a factory ecu and buld from there

so, i'm stuck ripping my car apart eh
