Does any one have any all season/winter type tires for 17" rims. Or a good set of oem all seasons. Just wanted to try here first before I buy new ones. Thanks

Trip out of Arizona. It gets real icy and slushy back home sometimes and I dont really trust summer tires.( I got rid of my stockers long ago).

Hmmm, I bet that's what the folks involved in fender benders Friday morning over a wet & icy bridge along AZ-89A used to think. ;)

Glad I put on my Winter set the night before. Barely noticed slip over that bridge as a couple cars went into the guard rails in front of (and many more behind) me...doubt I could say the same or have a straight car if the S-03's were still on.

Obviously, I'm pretty happy with the Nokian WR's...other than being hard to find (etires (http://www.etires.com)) and not exactly cheap (probably $170/tire in 17"), they are an excellent compromise for the mixed Northern AZ Winter conditions(dry/wet/slush/icy on the same day)...heck, what other snow tire comes with a 50k mile treadlife warranty?

Brent.

Yeah, for the at least half of AZ you're correct...don't know how many times I've explained to folks from back East that "yeah, it does snow in AZ. 'tis not all sand and saguaros"...wait a minute, I shouldn't let that out...Prescott's crowded enough :-)

Thats what I thought when I moved here. I almost sold my lawnmower cuz I thought it didnt even rained enough for grass. Much less snow. I just pictured rocks and dirt in the front and back yard. :D
