I'm doing a Haltech. Am I correct in assuming that there is a stock MAP sensor in order to apply the boost cut on a factory car? I could go and obtain a GM 3 bar sensor instead but I don't see the sense if there is already a MAP sensor on the WRX.
Any ideas?

I dunno what the range on the stock WRX MAP sensor is. Theoretically, if you can calibrate the MAP sensor on the Haltech (I would think you'd have to be able to), you could use any MAP sensor, take a few high and low readings, calibrate it, and it would work. After all, they all put out 0-5v, so any sensor should work...
Yep, contrary to what a lot of people say, the ECU doesn't care if 2.5v represents 0 PSI or if 2.5v represents 10 PSI. If you can control the fuel and ignition tables then it should all go OK.
