I tried a search but it didn't turn up too much. I am looking to improve driving skills, both handling control and driving at high speeds. I am not looking for basic driver training, I HAVE been through that :) Anything in the way of racing, autocross, technical, rally, or anything related to these are what I am searching for. Any ideas? Thanks!

VCMC is having another novic auto-x school in August. Better sign up quick before it fills up!

If I'm not mistaken that driving school is already full and is intended as a follow up to the last one. There is a waiting list which I am on. Also, talk to Stephen at Specialty. They may put on another driving school but it will be expensive. Another choice is to look up Mission Raceway. They often offer racing schools that include class room and on track teaching. My friend did one and loved it. Another avenue to try is to call ICBC and ask about furthering your driving skills. I'm not sure if they have anything but I believe Canadian Direct Insurance both encourages and is linked with advanced driving schools. Finally, just go auto-x. Do a couple runs with an advanced driver and then ask them to join you in your car. Best time to do this is during closed club days.

I've talked to Stephen of Specialty and it'll cost like $300  for that driving school, so I donno if many people can afford it...

Ok, at this point, on behalf on VCMC, the upcoming driving school actually is for those who were in the last driving school early this year, and those 2nd year junior drivers, and most likely I can call this "2nd level driving school". It will mainly focus on them for more like coaching instead of giving out instruction to the newbies.
If many ppl want to have the "1st Level driving school", i-Club can try to work something like coaching day with VCMC on this issue, but for sure, at this moment, it's not a good timing to discuss with VCMC.

I'm organizing a subaru day at SIR (Seattle International Raceway), most likely in early October. I'll post again in this forum when the details are more settled, but check out this thread in the NW forum (http://i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10769) for more info.
There are also a few classes over in Spokane put on by the BMW CCA, a little less expensive and on a weekend, but quite far from Vancouver. Check out this thread (http://i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12213) for more info.
Edit: There are also other schools here in WA, including a number in Bremerton for both track and autocross. I don't know where to find out more.
