car sitting in neutral or cruising high rpm 0 boost.
Car burbles and hesitates consistently at 5000 rpms.
Utec dash on the fuel fix line shows flashing (OL) during this event.
Why is ?IT? (utec/stock ecu) trying to go in and out of OPEN LOOP based on rpms?
tps crossover is set at 39. actual tps during event is 8-10.

The stock ecu usually kicks into open loop fueling somewhere around 5000rpm. Since more combustion cycles occur within a given time at higher rpms, the engine gets hotter quicker at 5000rpm then it does at 4000rpm. When the ecu goes into open loop fueling, it does this to make the air/fuel mixture richer so the engine doesn't get too hot. I kinda wish the utec had an rpm and boost crossover(along with tps) to the utecs olf map so that I would know if I'm using the utec's olf map above 5000rpm, and so there'd be more control over when it kicks on. Course I don't know what the utec does when the tps is that low and the rpms are so high. Maybe someone from txs could answer this? eh,

Does anyone tried the "Vaus" OLM device with an UTEC or any other fuel management computer?
It triggers the CL to OL crossover based on MAP. When higher than wastegate pressure is seen, a 100% TPS signal is feeded to the ECU. (As far I can understand it).
The switch between modes has been said to be very smooth. Once the car is in OL, any Fuel computer could control offsets over the stock fuel map.

FYI - The UTEC goes into OLF anytime you are over 5000 rpm, regardless of tps. If you are getting hesitation the low load, high rpm points of your map need tuning.
