I just started using my wide band o2 from zeixtronic and whenever I shift the a/f ratio will jump from 11.0:1 to 13.0:1. It stays at 13 for about 200-300rpms and then it drops where it is suppose d to be.

Is this normal?

Also the car is running at 11.2:1 in 2 gear and 10.2:1 in 3. I thought it should be the other way around.

Yes, it's normal to get a lean a/f ratio reading when your foot isn't on the gas. I would think your a/f ratio observation either has something to do with the intercooler not being as efficient at lower speeds(like if you just pop it into 2nd at 2000rpm and ride through the gear), or has something to do with how well your car's tuned and what load site you're hitting.

The lean conditon occurs rigth after I start to accelerate in the next gear. It is about 200-300 rpm long.

do you have a BOV that vents to the atmosphere?

Sounds like ur sensor is too far down stream, where is it located??

I have a BOV that vents to the atmoshpere. I am running the factory ECU with a set of extra injectors ( one per runner). The ECU running the extra injectors is a 034EFI and is tuned by a MAP value and RPM. It is working really good. The mix is about 10.5-11.1. When I shift the car goes lean for about 200 rpms and thens it goes back rich to 10.8.

If you're lifting off of the gas for a shift, it's perfectly normal for the AFR to be leaner during/after the shift.

No throttle @ high RPM = no fuel injector duty

so should i just keep the foot on the gas!!

does this happend to WRx's and STI's?

If you had adjustable engine management - you would want to address the acceleration enrichment

It may be a bit off

When the car comes back on full boost that is where it should be back on your target a/f

When its off boost between the shift - it is normal to run lean in that area

Back on boost it needs fueling

mess maybe with your enrichment decay settings, thats all i can think of or enrichment pulse length

do you think that it may be going lean due to the opening of the extra 4 injectors? May be fuel pressure a bit low at that point
