View Full Version : Pics of 2002 WRX STI and Legacy STI Owen Peters 06-25-2001, 10:33 PM Here is a pic of the new WRX STI, taken in Hong Kong last week by one of our club members. Owen Secretary Impreza WRX Owners Club, Western Australia Owen Peters 06-25-2001, 10:40 PM One more pic - Liberty STI (this is a nice car) nitrousjunkie68 06-25-2001, 10:46 PM the wrx is nice, but the legacy is AAAAAAAAWESOME!!!!! that has got to be one of the coolest cars i have seen in quite some time. i like it alot. that car is so beautiful. drooooooooooooool........ Hashiriya 06-25-2001, 11:13 PM Wha~~T, I thought that STi body kit on the Legacy was a 'not for sale' item. I think the legacy with that body kit is a lot better than the WRX. STiLust 06-25-2001, 11:20 PM That's not a WRX STi. The hood scoop isn't tall enough, that's the dead giveaway. The wheels aren't the stock STi wheels, neither is the body kit or wing. http://lumine.net/subaru/legacyb4/wrxsti/media/01.jpg I'm not sure about the Legacy, but the only STi version I'm aware of is the Blitzen, and that looks nothing like it. http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/blitzen/galley/b4_img/b4_02-b4_01_over.jpg Those cars are pretty awesome looking, but I suspect the dealer gussied the standard versions up with the help of the STi parts catalog. I don't think they're stock STi versions. -J Hashiriya 06-25-2001, 11:41 PM I don't think the Blitzen is STi, but that first legacy body kit is THE STi one, too bad you can't even buy it in Japan go go go 06-25-2001, 11:57 PM If the Impreza is STi, it'd have bigger hood scoop and more apparently, gold Brembo!! Only type-RA can be non-Brembo STi but this one is not RA (no roof vent) So it is STI wanna be WRX with pink emblem. There is no STI in Legacy, even Blitzen is not STi version. I thought it is the STI body kit, which were never sold, but it looks different from the one in HyperREV mag. So both are not STi, no doubt that they are nice rides, though.;) adict 06-26-2001, 12:03 AM DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL That legacy is sweet:p :D   roadsleeper 06-26-2001, 12:33 AM I don't think the blue Impreza in the HK showroom is an STi (as some have already mentioned). Hong Kong is famous for gussied up Scoobies, but half the time it's more show than go. I'm just surprised they let him take photos, they wouldn't even let me take a peek under the hood of the first Impreza WRX they got last year. travman733 06-26-2001, 12:35 AM Oh baby, those rims on that Impreza would look sweet on my black wagon coming in...hm... WRXGirl 06-26-2001, 12:49 AM I have a customer named Owen Peters. He drives a 1987 Turbo . Pam tmaler13 06-26-2001, 01:00 AM Well, whether or not thats an STI Legacy its one of the hottest cars...i would put its looks in the same categorey as the silvia,RX7 3rd gen and the Skyline. The NON NEON style headlights are what we all wanted on our us rex. Its hands down nicer than the us wrx IMHO -Terry ndj 06-26-2001, 01:33 AM Is it possible to buy the bodykit on that first WRX or STi, whatever it is??? Is that just the factory kit you can buy, or how do i get it??? spurner 06-26-2001, 02:33 AM I agree, that pic is definately not of an STi. We (in NZ) have just received our shipment of STi's which I checked out and took some pics of. The lights look pretty good, much better than the standard wrx lights anyway, the gearbox was really tight, and had it's own oil pump and oil cooler, and the interior was the best part of it. The rear spoiler and boot lid looked pretty ugly though. There are some pics of the MY01 STi RA which arrived here a few months ago now, it has no air-con/electric windows/sound deadening material, and a few more goodies the STi didn't have: http://communities.msn.com/IMPREZAWRXPhotosite/newsti7innz.msnw enjoy :) Vigorous 06-26-2001, 04:29 AM OKAY WHOA WHOA! I'm a newbie Scoobie, so don't hate on me. That Legacy Sti is SWWEEEEETTT!! Where can I find more pics of the car? And more info. :) go go go 06-26-2001, 04:44 AM I said the Legacy is not Sti but actually the kit is STi, I just found. My bad. This car below is Legacy RSK ELECTRA2 shown in Tokyo Auto Salon 2000. The kit has never become in production, so where did the kit in HK come from ???? Replica??? maybe real, I don't know. http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~c_suna/sti_011.jpg Vigorous 06-26-2001, 02:42 PM Does anyone have any rear pics of the Legacy? grandmasterchan 06-26-2001, 02:57 PM OMFG RS2001 06-26-2001, 03:40 PM  Where can us common American folk get those wheels? (even though they're probably ridiculously priced) -DAN KK 06-26-2001, 04:40 PM I am 101% sure that's not an STI, cause Subaru dealership in H.K didn't import the STI, Only the WRX NB. If u see an WRX STI in H.K, It deff a grey import from Japan.. youthanasia 06-26-2001, 07:36 PM Is that a moonroof/sunroof I see on the white wrx wagon on top? Mako 06-26-2001, 11:09 PM That looks like a SYMS hood scoop on the RSK? target 06-27-2001, 01:02 AM Anybody have interior pics of a WRX STi. spurner 06-27-2001, 01:14 AM Originally posted by target Anybody have interior pics of a WRX STi. I got some, can I only attach 1 image per message? spurner 06-27-2001, 01:14 AM 2/3 spurner 06-27-2001, 01:19 AM 3/3, okay the last (and best) interior pic was too big to attach , sorry!:) djerickd 06-27-2001, 01:27 AM I need those rims!! Clement 06-27-2001, 03:57 AM Actually, the Legacy is a genuine Legacy STi. It's a HK-only model. I read about it in a car magazine when I was in HK. Of 'coz, I also went to the dealer to see the car too after reading about it :) Besides, the body kit, wing and those big rims you see. The car also comes with a better suspension system than the normal B4 RSK, plus 4pot front and 2pot rear brakes from the STi V6. The engine remains the same as the B4 RSK. But get this! This HK-only Legacy STi ONLY comes in with sportshift auto, no stick! With power limited to 260ps. Forgot to add, the blue WRX is not a STi model. It's a WRX with all the STi aero accessories in the catalogue, including the Tommy Kaira GT wing. :) H5N1 06-27-2001, 04:20 AM Wow, You are so knowlegable! Your trip to Japan & HK must be very educational:D ellisnc 06-27-2001, 07:01 PM anyone know where I can get the rims on the first blue sedan? Order or importation, I must have them... thanks Owen Peters 06-28-2001, 08:53 AM They look like Prodrive rims. Have a look at: http://www.iwoc.co.uk/images/prodrive/st2f.jpg :D owen Owen Peters 06-28-2001, 08:58 AM Speedline Supertorismo 2 17" multi-spoke alloys from Prodrive owen OnceAgain 06-28-2001, 12:49 PM Those I believe are the Volk/sti rims... too expensiveif you can get them here (prob like 8-900 per rim due to the sti name and volk quality) B-spec is carrying the Advan RCII which looks identical, it is also expensive, but is an ungodly cool rim. Probably around 5-600 a piece. go go go 06-28-2001, 02:20 PM They are not speedline or Prodrive. They are STi The Impreza has Volk Racing-made STi rims. http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/parts/new_impreza/image/1-3.jpg $500 a piece. This is 5 spoke is specially made for STi and based on 6 spoke TE37 The Legacy has BBS-made STi. http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/parts/new_impreza/image/1-7.jpg BBS is making this for STi, again $500 a piece. These rims are on STi catalog. |
