Another i-cluber just related that stonegard's recommended NJ installer is asking $300-$375 (4-5 hr @$75/hr) just to install the kit I got in the groub buy a few months back. I knew this was going to be expensive, but that just seems to be way to high. Of course all stonegard can say is that they have no control over what their installers charge or even if 5 hours is a reasonable amount of time. Is this what everyone else is paying? If so I will just bite the bullet and pay. Heck, I could fly some of those Clearbra folks out here for not much more. well, maybe a little more, but you get my point...

Guess those s03s will have to wait.

I paid $149 Cdn for the material and installation of the Xpel Pain Protection kit which is the same 3M material as used in Stoneguard. For reference, I got my mirrors, the strip on my hood and the metal surrounding the grill done.

Just bought an Outback VDC and had the 3M Scotchcal (Similar to Stoneguard) installed on the hood and the headlights.

Total Cost including our %15 Tax was $220.00 CDN, that's like 25 Cents USD... :lol:

Oh Yeah, I have this on my 2000 Legacy GT as well....

I paid $150 for the installation of my stongard full kit. It really did take the guy 5 hours to install. He came to my house to do it. He used a clay bar on the hood area before installing.

i paid $6 per 12" of the 3M material and installed it myself...

i is a bit tricky, and i would not want to do the bumper... heh... but it can be done.... for a lot less than $400.... dang... that's a lot of money for installation of a kit...:eek:
