just trying to find out who will do the best job on window tiniting? stands behind there work and film quality.ive checked price at autostart ak and there using 3m scotchtint thats guaranteed never to fade or change color but not sure about shades.3m claims that there film is the finest film on the market and has a lifetime warranty against peeling and colorchange.
also how dark are you guys going without getting haseled from the 5-o,i have a exempt form that my wife can get signed so we can go as dark as we want but id like to be at the edge where im not getting stopped everytime im in town.

autostart ak qouted 249.00 for entire car,sounded fair to me but ive never bought tint before.i think these cars look so much nicer tinted.

I have used Shades of Comp. before and did not have a very good experience. They tinted my windows and replaced my windshield on my old car. My rear passanger window peeled some and my windshield would leak when it rained. Had to fight to get them to fix it. I was not very impressed with the quality of their work.

I have a friend that does tinting at Discount Auto Glass. I had some issues with my first tint job on my Acura TSX, but the other cars that he has done turned out pretty good. I heard Shades of Comp has done the best work, but I guess not lol? I would go with Auto Start of AK if you were looking for a profressional job.

Shades did a great job on the group buy we arranged. Not aware of any of us that had any problems with them. I know they warranty their tint for life at Shades as well.

I do have a turbo and manifiold kit for one that I got for free, but I doubt I will waste the money and time on it, its only a winter beater with a heater...

If its anything like the last group buy, get twice the number of people then when half back out you will still be OK. :D

Talk to the owner or co-owner, I dealt with the co-owner (Owner's wife) she was really great and made sure we all got the deal we had discussed. Unfortunately I do not remember her name, but someone else on the board may know it.
