View Full Version : Magny Cours
donjuan 06-26-2001, 10:39 AM Back-to-back F1 this weekend, so we'd best get started.
My predictions (random uneducated guesses):
1. Ralf Schumacher, pole to flag my friends.
2. Mika Hakkinen
3. Jacques Villeneuve
4. Nick Heidfeld
5. Rubens Barrichello
6. Juan-Pablo Montoya
Michael Schumacher will once again be on the front row with his brother, but will retire early due to electronic gremlins, as does David Coulthard. Eddie Irvine will qualify well and run 2nd behind Ralf for much of the race, but retire with only a few laps left with car trouble. Kimi Raikkonnen will demonstrate his skills by scratching his ass AND flinging a tear-off as he perfectly negotiates the Adelaide corner. Verstappen will hit a chili-dog wrapper and lose control, but the Minardi monkeys have played this game before, and deftly dodge his skidding wreck.

here we go again.......
1) dc (PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!)
2) new jack city
3) raikonnen
4) just for stopping (jos)
5) <bevis voice>barichello</bevis voice>
6) the playa' playa' (ervine)
i'm going to predict juan pablo more taco's and schuey sr. get into their steering wheel beat-a-thon again. raikonnen will ass-itch his way to a podium. jos will be using the previously unheard of 5 stop strategy and it will almost pay off. ralfie will be the one that sucks up the chili dog wrapper this time. the minardi monkies  will gang up on one of the corner workers when the yellow flag is out durring the chili dog schuey steering wheel fight. again they think it's a big banana.
that's all for now. can't wait until france! i think f1 should be a weekly event... 34 races long! :D
-dave
63Alpine 06-26-2001, 07:29 PM Ralf will be pissed beyond belief at his lame stop-and-go that the Ferrari-bought-and-paid-for-FIA layed on him and he will lead from start to finish. He will start on the outside of Mikey "I will drive my mother into the wall to get to the first corner first" Schumacer. Mikey will have a very rare mechanical failure causing hiim to leave the race. Shovel face will be second followed by JPM.
They do run F1 every week. Look real close at Jeff Gordon. It is really Schumacher with a mask on.
Kurt
Fred Zaplitny 06-26-2001, 09:01 PM So chili dog gets another podium and now you guys give him some respect! Well, here goes:
Montoya will win!!!!
This time I mean it. DC will podium. That's all I will predict.
Where are the hottie pics? :D
johnfelstead 06-26-2001, 09:15 PM I dont care, i am driving round the 13.5 mile Nurburgring again this weekend. :D Jealous? ;) LOL
I think Williams will dominate, they were unreal in testing there recently. Gonna be Ralphy then Chilli Dog. DC 3rd i think then mikey and rubinho.
I so hope Ralph puts one over Mikey, he was seriously pissed at him after Nurburg :D
Fred Zaplitny 06-26-2001, 09:32 PM Hey John,
Any word from Ganassi yet? :D
johnfelstead 06-26-2001, 09:35 PM here you go Fred, Chilli Dog and his Girlfriend
http://media.rivals.net/media/jpg/2001060500121481.jpg
I can play the Chello, Honest, lumped that hunk around from 11 years old. :D LOL
http://media.rivals.net/media/jpg/2001060500091481.jpg
johnfelstead 06-26-2001, 09:38 PM Nope, he still hasn't got back to me??????
I am otherwise ocupied right now anyway so he can do the chasing. :D
SpinAll4 06-26-2001, 11:06 PM Hot Hot Hot France! Heat + Michelins + BMW Power = an easy victory for Ralf and a 2nd place for Juan Pablo Mo'Butter.
Those engines that are actually built in Germany will be allowed to strut their stuff as the Michelins will be gripping quite nicely.
Ralf will get pole position and by sheer driving prowess his older bro will sneak under JUan Pablo EatMucho's qualifying time, but be passed by JPM on the track while DC watches in amazement.
3rd Mikey
4th Rubens
5th Jos
6th DC poor guy, his early season is soo forgotten:lol:
How about some long range predicting: Willaims finishes 2nd in constructor points to Ferrari this season, with Ralf 2nd in drivers points to big bro.
donjuan 06-27-2001, 09:13 AM Fred--I'm giving JPM a second chance NOT because he got on the podium last week, but because he's been keeping his mouth shut in the press (at least in the little bit of F1 press we're able to see here), not bashing Ralf or Williams, and he seems to have realized it's gonna take some work for him to be able do well in F1. Of course I still have to call him Chili Dog, and notice I only predicted him 6th...he still overdrives and makes stupid moves, but it appears that he's starting to clean up his act. If he does what he's capable of...then...Williams--2002 Constructor's Champion:)
felstead--you suck. that's right, i said it, you suck! :D :D
just kidding. have a good time, and get in on another CK video. the first one was impressive, but i have this horrible feeling it's gonna cost me alot more than the $30 i spent on it. namely a another trip across the pond:D
On Schumacher vs. Schumacher: I think Ralf has had the faster car of the two for the last two GP. Obviously he did in Montreal, and at the Nurburgring it appears he was faster during the first part of the race at least. Michael seemed to pick it up later on. The Williams cars will be fast at Magny-Cours, they've had extensive testing there. As any older brother knows: Never underestimate your little brother's will to KICK YOUR A$$!!
Ralf wins in France!!!
i love that Chello picture, but it's pretty hard to top that Jordan model from a couple years ago:
http://a324.g.akamai.net/f/324/3126/1d/www.f1-live.com/f1-2001/photos/1998/barcelona/diapo_101.jpg
Kinda makes you wanna be an F1 driver doesn't it.
Moderator mode on...
C'mon guys...keep your rear-pics in your own private collection.
Moderator mode off...
Arioch 06-27-2001, 02:23 PM juan pablo more taco's get's no props from me. i think that he's an ok driver (as far as f1 goes) that is in a really good car. i think that if he and kimi were in equal cars, be it williams, sauber, or any other, kimi would be consistantly faster... and he doesn't shoot his mouth off and back it up with crashes. :p
and yes, that chello pic is nice. :D
-dave
King Ding187 06-27-2001, 02:39 PM 1. Mika Hakinnen- stillthe best F1 driver
2. Frentzen- getting back to Jordan's 1999 season form
3. Rubens- forced to lead the battle for Ferrari points after early Schumacher retire
4. Ralf- no reason
5. Montoya- if he finishes....
oh, almost forgot, nice chello.......
Fred Zaplitny 06-27-2001, 04:36 PM Oh, yeh John. I forgot to mention I ordered your video from Jamie. I'm getting one from her next shipment. It better be good man for 30 bones! ;)
OK back on topic!
johnfelstead 06-27-2001, 07:17 PM The video is much better than good, it's the bollox mate.
You wont be disapointed, you'll get to see what the ring is really like, which is barking mad.
I love the place. :D
Fred Zaplitny 06-27-2001, 09:02 PM Opie's trying to calm down our thread even though the pics legitematly fit the subject material. A pic of Juan and his girlfreind (Come on Juan, I could even do better!) Must be true love. And a pic of an Arrows that is being pushed by a crew member (can't you tell by the uniform! :D) So what if the chello is nice!
Now the thread from last race....HeHe!
johnfelstead 06-27-2001, 09:46 PM Yeh, it's definately true love alright.
I am not refering to Chili Dog, i am talking about me and that Hawaiian tropic girl, she is just stunning!!!!

ZFEVER 06-27-2001, 10:00 PM Here's how it goes. McLarens will dominate practice. If they keep dominating then they might........ um, dominate more practices.
Qualifying will result in a Mikey, Ralpie, and JPM. Mikey on pole. In no less than eight laps, Ralph and ChiliDog will simultaneously overtake Mike as he suffers car problems --just as the Williams duo's tires reach temp. Mike will revive his car, but Ralphie and Taco will be long gone. B/C this is my first time posting, I will make BIG predictions. Ralph is gonna take 2nd in Drivers points for the season.
1. RALPH
2. MO'TACO
3. MIKE
4. RUBENS
5. VERSTAPPEN
6. MIKA
7. NICK
8. KIMI
DNFS
TRULLI
DC
I hereby start a "funniest nick name for JPM" and "why DC stinks" contest.
Fred Zaplitny 06-27-2001, 10:57 PM His nickname is "Chili Dog"! We are too used to it already, and we like it! In fact I can just see the looks I'll get at Indy this year when I stand up and yell "Go Chili Dog!" as he blows past Schumi in turn one. :D I might even get a Chili Dog flag to wave. A huge one!
ZFEVER 06-28-2001, 02:51 AM Ok we dont need a contest, but if you make a ChiliDog Flag, you have to send me one. Does anyone play EA's F1 2000 on Playstation2? I wanna know some best lap times! Spa in particular! For some reason, when I'm Ralph, I can totally rip off best lap after best lap, but when Im DC, I get 4 tenths off pole, I cant pass, AND I come up with lame excuses! Anyway, BEST LAP TIMES!:D
donjuan 06-28-2001, 08:52 AM Fred--that's a smooth idea we have to come up with a Chili Dog flag to wave at the USGP!!! :D
Can't you just hear the crowd at Indy chanting?:
CHI-LI-DOG CHI-LI-DOG CHI-LI-DOG
Arioch 06-28-2001, 12:45 PM my girlfriend and i have come up with a few names for f1 drivers... or we use ones that other people come up with.
jpm=juan pablo more-taco's or guantanemera
jos=just for stoppin
dc=shovelface
jacques=new jack city
ms=beeeeeyyyyyooooooootch! :p
-dave
(jordan and arrows have good looking crew members.... :D  )
donjuan 06-28-2001, 02:24 PM Arioch, your girlfriend actually likes to watch F1?? She' doesn't think you're insane for getting up at Dark:30 to watch a race??
Arioch 06-28-2001, 03:53 PM yeah she watches it live with me, she wakes me up and watches it with me. :D
she's the BOMB!
and if i'm going to go auto-x, she gets up, wakes me up, and watches the race while i am racing my del sol....
but she isn't allowed to tell me anything about the race so i can watch the replay on monday nights.
-dave
donjuan 06-28-2001, 04:25 PM and pretty rare i'd bet.

It need something so that people know it's supposed to be JPM though.
Arioch 06-28-2001, 04:50 PM <img src="http://somershoe.com/images/chiliflag2.gif">
how about this?
-dave
donjuan 06-28-2001, 04:52 PM Now put "CHILI" in the white area to the left of tard-face, and "DOG" in the white area to his right.
donjuan 06-28-2001, 04:58 PM should it maybe go on a Colombian flag??
http://www.theodora.com/flags/new6/colombia.gif
Arioch 06-28-2001, 05:10 PM i'm on it.....
-dave
Arioch 06-28-2001, 05:14 PM <img src="http://somershoe.com/images/chiliflag3.gif">
the columbian flag doesn't work well, the tardface color and the color of the top of the flag are the same.
-dave
{edit}maybe not... back to the drawing board with me.....{/edit}

Ralfie - still pissed about EVERYTHING last weekend
Mika - and he smiles...
Mikey - after a hard battle with Mr. Roboto
Mo'taco
DC
of course what the heck do i know???
brian

Fred
donjuan 06-29-2001, 08:54 AM "MAKE THEM GRAP ON YOUR TIRED" HAAAAAAA!!!
Oh that slays me...
johnfelstead should try out the prototype chili dog flag at Silverstone, then we can mass market it at the USGP.
Mika quickest early this morning...DC is on top so far in the second session.
SpinAll4 06-29-2001, 11:35 AM Yes McLaren dominate PRACTICE again, which is a virtual garauntee that they'll be behind the Red menace and the White and Blue tornadoes come race day.
To repeat: A Williams 1-2 pasting of the field in hot hot France.
How much for some 'iron on' Chili Dog patches for t-shirts etc.
Or temporary Tattoo's of a screaming hot Chili Dog?
donjuan 06-29-2001, 11:40 AM To repeat: A Williams 1-2 pasting of the field in hot hot France.
