I am planning on getting a Ecutek tune at Kingpin in AZ, but I was planning on purchasing a Injen CAI before I do. If I am going to get it tuned, does it matter if I get the non-MAF frendly version of the Injen CAI or any CAI for that matter.?Can they work around it enough with the tune to make it safe and reliable or should I get a MAF friendly CAI like the new Injen or APS?

I shouldnt speak for them, BUT Kingpin should have no issue working around the CAI readings while the car is on the dyno.

I am confident in Kingpin's ability to work around it... I guess what I am trying to find out is if there unnecessary risk or complication in using a non MAF friendly CAI or should I not ever worry about it?

No risk, just more dyno time perhaps. Hell - they prob. have a base map for it already. So in short, IMO you shouldnt worry.
