based on a link on urbanracer.com it looks like a p-n-p version of motec is available for the sti.
is this new?
also heard from an autronic dealer that there is a p-n-p board for the sti that will be available after sema.

anyone have any comments, feedback, insight on these two ems choices?

if this is WTLW, then just send the missiles my way

Just hit motecs website. Looks like the p-n-p is for non usdm STi since they dont talk about provisions for the drive by wire throttle body. That sucks, I would love to have a plug n play motec for my STi.

Check with Buschur Racing or Pruven Perfromance - the HKS F-CON V PRO has been released for the new STI - or so I am told, its a time tested and top rank tuning solution

I gave up on plug and play, but then again no one ever made anything for my car.

The only p n p I know of for the STI is the Element Tuning Hydra. I'm sure the AEM EMS will also be availble soon.

Stealth-WRX is running an Autronic unit on his WRX. I doubt its PnP though

what difference is there from it not being a PnP as aposed to being a PnP?

The Autronic STi ECU will be a complete PnP system. As in you open up your ECU case and physically swap the boards. I have seen it in person, in action.

A novel approach for a wiring harness, just use the stock plugs and your own board with connectors. None of this re-wiring to match pin outs. Very clever!!

On a different model car I assume.

Also, whats the GUI like on the Autronic. Is it user friendly windows or similar???

It's a nice setup. Very user friendly if you know where to find all the things you want to play with. 2d cell chart with real-time cell identification, real-time graphical logging at the bottom with the ability to graph 1-4 or so variables of your choice, instant download of real-time data to ECU. Lots of nifty things.

If you've ever used the Link software, the Autronic is that on steroids.

I was also wondering how good is LINK compared to other stand-alones, From what I hear
Link is one of the better stand-alones??

The Link is a simple system with buggy software. That's all I'll say about that.
