I got some video content posted.
The video is mostly from my own Impreza taken this year.
These are all pretty big so a cable connection would be a must.
go to:
http://www.randyzimmer.com/video/
theres
Cherokee Trails
Ski Sawmill
Sandblast
STPR
Black Bear
WDC RallyX 6-23-01
also some old GT5 stuff and a 1/2 hour Can-Am broadcast from Mosport Canada '86.
Other stuff too.
I still have some room left so I'll keep adding to it.

Let me know if you like it.

We were looking at your car wondering what was on the tip of your tail pipe and Christian (PURE EPI) was telling us something about how depending on the number of plates you add to the end it has something to do with backpressure but he wasn't sure so that's why we asked.... :)
I guess it really is just to muffle the sound...

Randy- I noticed your car was smoking a bit at the rally-x. What was wrong with it?

The car's been using more and more oil since I got it.
Synth. doesn't smoke much so I switched to mineral oil to see the smoke and when it smokes.
Looks like it is plain worn out so I'll change motors for Maine.
Good time to look at the trans and clutch too so it'll be the first service in seven events! A far cry from changing a transmission every service.

More plates = more air space so = louder.
Fewer plates = quieter.
Hole in the end?
That's where I planned on putting a nut and plug for street use but never finished it.

Randy where is that camera mounted? It has kind of a strange angle as if it's on the dash.

the lens is on the "front" of the rear view mirror (velcro'd).
kinda high and down, it gets a good look at the terrain.
I sell these lenses too.
RCA analog output - 12v DC.

Randy,

Did you get any video when you went the wrong way at the Winter Rally in East Aurora? I was driving the Blue RS. I checked out your ice racing site. It looked pretty cool, but I didn't think it was safe enough for my daily driver. We really need to organize more rallies here in the Buffalo area. I'll see you up in Maine.

Randy,

I was just wondering if you keep the car here in Buffalo or elsewhere? I wasn't sure if you are racing on your own or for another racing team.

Thanks,
Mark

No video of that - if there was I'd have burned it.
That just showed how important a good co-driver is. Pros are very easy routes and instructions but mistakes still can happen and a minute for something dumb is still a minute.
next...
The car is here in Buffalo and needs a new motor, why don't you come over sometime to visit and leave your car a day or two.

Randy,

I did the same thing later in the race. I actually just spoke to the Jordans last night. They had said that your car needed a new engine. I would like to stop by some time to check it out. You can email me at mark.tillmanns@verizon.net.
