After the break in period, what type of oil gets put in? Synthetic or something else?

Are there any other fluids that needs to be changed at 1000 miles, like tranny?

Congrats on the car, but if you are bored at work, why not find the answers to your questions in your owners manual? It's all in there. Put in whatever type of oil you like, synthetic or regular.....it really makes no difference.

Thanks for the response. The reason I asked is, through the search, I found one thread that says @ 1000miles, replace oil. Then at 3K miles, you can start using synthetic oil, which I plan to do.

On the other hand, I didn't see any responses about changing the transmission fluid or any other fluids. I guess it's not necessary.

i changed mine to mobil 1 at 3k and the manual says not to replace the tranny and diffs til about 16k i beleive.

everyone i know who knows anything says that it's better to run the engine/tranny/diff in on regular and to switch to synthetic at a later date. i switched my engine oil to synthetic at 5,000 miles, and i'll switch my tranny/diff in the next month or so (15,000 miles)

i don't think you should change your oil to synthetic before 13000km. which is i think around 10000 miles

Congrats..I switched to Royal Purple 5W30 at 3,750. My dealer (Mastro) said no tranny/differential changes until 10k and there are quite a few threads about whether running synthetic in the tranny is beneficial.
