'97 Legacy Outback with EJ20, fuel starves very noticeably under acceleration (cornering or not) whenever fuel level is below half a tank. I'm running the original pump assembly and tank, but with a Walbro WRX-spec pump.
Is there something I can swap to combat this? Impreza gas tank, etc. I'm thinking this tank is the same unit as the one in the GC since they're both 15.9 gal.
Thanks!

I'd make sure the pump you installed doesn't have a crack in the piping anywhere. There's no reason it should starve under accelleration at any level of fuel. Starvation under cornering is well documented, yet little to no mention of starvation under straight line accell......
Experiment with a pressure gauge to verify you're losing pressure when this happens.

i had that proublem for a while i took the pump out and made sure the sock was all the way at the bottom of the tank .. seems to have worked well so far

I did some more testing... it does starve in a straight line, but it's immediately after coming out of a right hander. :p
Seems like it happens with anything less than 1/2 a tank. :(
How can you move the sock down? It doesn't seem like there's any room for adjustment.
i think that i didn't get it all the way in (correctly the first time)
