my power door locks only unlock, won't lock. has this happened to anyone? or have any suggestions on what to do? :confused:

From where? Driver side or at all locations. I would try making sure the child's safety lock is not engaged and then try recycling the lock and unlock from the drivers side button.

Sorry didn’t notice the year of your car. On newer models there is a button
next to the lock/unlock button which , when activated, prevents passengers from unlocking their doors. If your model has no such button then you probably need another switch. You might try removing the panel with the switch on it and see if it could be sprayed and cleaned with an electronics cleaner.

I forgot to mention that when doing power window work in that area I found
having that button pushed down rendered both lock and unlock useless until I recycled the safety switch. So since it was an easy thing to try (if your car had one) that thought it might be worth mentioning.
