hey is the drain plug the same on the sti as on the wrx. and do u fill the tranny through the dip stick?

can sumone please help me out i need to kno where the drain bolt is on a sti tranny and if u fill it up where the dip stick comes out of.

If you do not know those two things perhaps you should not be doing your own oil change. The drain plug should be clearly visible on the oil pan. YOu fill the oil through the fill hole with the yelow cap but again, if you can not find that nor the oil pan, PLEASE do not touch your car.

no not motor oil . i am talking about the gear oil for the tranny which it says "can sumone please help me out i need to kno where the drain bolt is on a sti tranny and to fill it up do i fill it where the dip stick hole is." that what i said nothing about motor oil. i know how to do an oil change. but is the drain bolt on the tranny the 21mm bolt facing straight down. or there is another bolt right across from that? And where do i fill the trannny back up with gear oil?

There are two bolts to drain the tranny on the STi. Make sure you do both or you might end up overfilling it.

haha, yes God WAS talking about tranny oil, there is a tranny oil pan with drain plug AND and the cap/dip stick to the fill tube is yellow. please, be very careful. :lol:
