View Full Version : Stainles Steel Sleaves for hosses !?!

Hey.

I remember someone mentioning that those sleaves make hoses inside of them "Rot" a kind of. Or crack or get messed up in some way. It was stated that it is so cuz it just goes over it and not part of it like a real SS Hose.

Well, I kinda like an Idea of putting those SS SLeaves on. So, I would like your personal experience opinion on this.

Long term life span?
Durability?
Looks after a while?
Anything else u wish to mention.

Why not just replace them with the stainless steel hoses, rather than run the risk?

the reason for the problem is the constant compression of the rubber. imagine the interior pressure building and having nowhere to go, it just crushes the rubber into the SS mesh cover beginning hairline tears and cracks. Over time the it blows and you are SOL ...

Just change the whole hose and you'll be better off
