Do you have a check engine light? yebokmj 11-10-2004, 01:26 PM The ecu is 100% conpatable. The 2.2L ecu's of that year will even run 2.5s and vice versa. But I never knew a 2.2 and 2.5 ecu were the same. yebokmj 11-10-2004, 09:29 PM They are not dead on the same, obviously the fueling and such is slightly differant, redline is different 2.2=6,200 and 2.5=6,500 The 2.5 had EGR and the 2.2 in a manual impreza does not. So if you run the 2.5 ecu on a 2.2 it will throw the EGR code. But either ECU will run either engine successfully. Joshua |
