I just got some gum stuck on my shoe and then stepped on the floor mat in my 2.5RS, I got most of it out w/ ice. Is there any good way to get it all out?

Goof off?
Oh yeah. Peanut butter. Then you have to shampoo the mat to get the peanut butter out. They say it works well for getting gum out of hair, so carpet should work too.

Where do I buy Goo Gone?, I parked in a spot w/ gum near it, and when I got back to my car I stepped in it. :(

I think that lighter fluid works too. Like the kind for zippos and stuff(with naptha).

Anyways, as i'm gona be buying the stuff tomorrow, might as well ask now. I just dab some on the floor mat and scrub it with a scrub? and clean it off with?...

I'd like some procedures for some excellent cleaning here...

Try putting ice on it. Once it's frozen, you may be able to peel it off.

another thing you can try doing, is getting a razor, and carefully cut the gum into shreds. then you can scrape it off the carpet by cutting just below the gum on the carpet fibers. it doesn't leave a bare spot on the carpet or anything, and you won't discolor it with any chemicals...as that happens way too often...i worked in a detail department for a few years, and this is definitely the best method so long as you take your time.

Mark you silly boy, go back and read his original post. :p

Goo gone or Goof off won't erm, shouldn't, damage your carpet in any way. Test in a discrete area first, of course.

To get it out? rub the goo gone in, let it sit for a bit to dissolve, then suck it out with a shop vac. :)
