I'm confused...about all these wheels/sizes

I have an 05' STI... I know that the offset is different now, so from the above the only ones that will fit are the slipstreams.. :(

Or will the boosts also fit?

Since the 05' STI comes standard with the 17x8 inch wheel does that mean that the 17x7.5" do not fit?

I would be intersted in the boosts over the slipstreams.. Will you have any other colors for the boosts like bronze?

It's not the offset that is different, the bolt pattern is the big change. BOLT PATTERN. Provided you clear the brakes, there should be no problem running 7.5" wide rims of the proper offset.

Apparently you've never done a search for the term "offset" before either. Go to tirerack.com and there is a technical primer on their "Wheel Tech" page that explains all you need to know.

Bronze is availible, unfortuantly not with a polished lip though...what do you thin of the royal gunmetallic pictured above (it is almost as dark as black)

My 17x8 Slipstreams for an 05 STi came right on schedule and I just picked them up this morning after having Nokian RSIs mounted. I'll post pictures when I put them on the car, in the next couple days. (It's supposed to snow on Thursday - just in time!) Gunmetal wheels, blue car. I originally wanted Torques but I have to admit that these look pretty spiffy.

I didn't get the t-shirt though. :( (And wasn't it supposed come with the magazine originally, too?) I did get the lug nuts. By the way, can those spline-drive lugs work OK with the stock wheels? It'd save me from having to buy locking lugs for the BBSs in the summer...

cool. Are there two different styles ? Looking at that picture the gunmetals have a similar style to the old 16x7's Slipstreams, with 10 bolt holes. The steel gray have just 5 bolt holes ( looks much better, IMO) and also have a larger setback between the spokes and the mounting surface.

Do you know if 16x8's will ever have a polished lip in future batches ( ie, by the time my winter wheels come off) ?

Don't know about the rubbing on a wagon but I can tell you they will clear the FHI 4 pots

I agree, all the help I got from Joseph at subydude has been great! Got a shirt and lugs :-) Plus the chrome lugs on bronze wheels looks freaking awesome, I thought they would look really bad and wanted black but I am glad I didn't.. awesome!

Tires are dirty, and not shiny and the wheels don't have the center caps in them mainly because I was soooooooooo COLD after washing the car in 34 degree weather and sitting in cold water changing the tires, just didn't get around to putting them in there and snapping a pic :-)

I actually like these wheels about 10 times better now than the stock BBS... sad but oh so true!

How else would you jack the car up besides that if you don't own a lift? Or did you mean he should have used jackstands? Im curious cause I have new wheels coming and i dont have a lift either.

Yes how else would I get the car in the air to change the tires? I don't have a jack stand or anything like that.. I actually prefer doing it with that.. for if something would happen the entire car doesn't drop like it might if it was on jack stands.. I can't stand working under a car or when it's in the air, there is a sense of no control if something happens...

I absolutly love the wheels though, the service from Subydude was great!

If you think the 16x8 will fit a GC, the wagon has more clearance so I don't see why they wouldn't fit. Except that I had 17x7.5" +48 wheels and they would rub slightly with 225/45-17 Falken azenis until I put stiffer suspension on and rolled the fenders a little.

I'd think with the 16x8" slip giving an extra 6mm or .24" sticking out would cause rubbing issues unless your car is tall enough or something. I'd like to see some test fited on your wagon if possible with 225/50-16 summer tires. I know this isn't something simple to do, but I'd like to know for sure before I order. Too bad they don't offer a 16x7.5" side for the wagons and all the STS 2.5 RS guys.

Our lugnuts special is exclusive to Nasioc members...when placing the order you do have to mention the lugs in order to get them

Either way...give us a call at 510.651.2956 and we'll still send some out to you.

We do not have any in stock for the 05 STi at this time, but we should within a couple of weeks.

we have not yet tried 245/45/16 tires on a 16" wheel yet, that may actually be too wide to run without rolling fenders.

I have 2002 WRX wagon and rolling the fenders is one of the suspension mods I plan in the future along with Prodrive Springs, Koni Struts, wider wheels and tires etc.,).

For the Formula Mesh in 18" they weigh ~ 22lbs.

running 235's on them no modifications should be needed.

If you are running 245's you will need to roll your fenders in order to fit them.
