I might be transfering to Scottsdale in the near future and was wondering what the housing market is within Scottsdale and within 10 mile surronding area. Also what are some of the names of towns close by.
Looking for a single family home between 2100-2500 square feet for around 250-325k. Is this a doable prop in a nice location, or am I asking for way to much?
Thanks,
Dave
The housing market in Phoenix is pretty crazy. I would like to think you're not too far off with those numbers, within reason though. I've been looking myself and have just been going through the housing link off MSN.com.
Search for a map of Phoenix with zip codes, and it'll make it slightly easier to find where you may want to live, and make searching a little easier. Otherwise search within your price range and compare the locations that you can afford.
$300k is do-able, just depends on your definition of 'Scottsdale', as Scottsdale can be a pretty big area ;)

I think the market just north of Scottsdale (Anthem) is pretty good and close to Scottsdale... Northern Tempe, Eastern Mesa can be VERY promising for that price range (more bang for buck)..
