Can anyone tell me about the ludespeed turbo kit I've read about. I used a search engine to look up ludespeed but got a Prelude only site!!! Just curious, shopping for a bolt on kit. Thanks.......

These kits from a group buy long long ago are just now arriving to the buyers.

No truly positive reports yet. At one time, Ludespeed was going to offer these kits after this GB was done.

However, since they removed the Impreza stuff from their website, I would venture to say that's not going to happen. Who knows?

Another dead end, I'm afraid.

i was in the group buy and am very impressed with his work! it did take a little while to get the kit but it was well worth it. fit of parts was real good with the exception of a few minor things. but you have to expect that with aftermarket kits. also, tom(the owner) was real helpful with any questions i had. i believe he has two different sites, one for prelude and one for imprezas. look under the forced induction in the links section of this site and you will find the impreza site. if you have any more questions, feel free to shoot me a e-mail.

IIRC, the site was http://turbo_25rs.tripod.com .

The kit is real nice, there is a bug or two in it, but the all-around fit was excellent. Everything was pretty well thought-out. The welds are Tom's own, so they're not extrememly beautiful, but pipes do what they are meant for, who cares about the way the welds look. :)

I'm with Bttune on this one, since we practically live down the street from each other. I witnessed the parts arrival and part of the install. As Todd noted, no turbo kit is going to be a 'true' bolt on, but they had little dificulty installing the kit.

Make no mistake, I'm no mechanic. However, being around this board for quite some time, and really paying attention to all of the different kits out there (custom and non) this kit is really nice. If I were to buy a turbo kit (I said IF, Todd) I would purchase this one. The kit included top-of-the-line parts and to 8complex's comment, had a very good design lay-out.

As for performance................ Todd, can I have ANOTHER ride!?!?!?! Freakin incredible.

It all assumes you can get one.

There are "good kits" out there.

Can you actually buy it?

I was in the group buy too, I'm gonna try to snap some pics and write a review up this weekend. I'm not sure if tom is still planning to offer the kit after the group buy, he didn't seem stiffeled in the least, he may just be taking a short vacation after all the group buy madness. Tom is a very good person to work with, always answering our questions and letting us know the truthfull status of the kits, if there were setbacks, he would let us know.

I highly recommend tom as a vendor, he is very concerned with the quality of his work.

I'll try to get on that review this weekend, after I fix a couple oil leaks ;)

Tom is working on AWD-River's MY0? Sedan here in orlando, florida... and he went to the track last friday and pulled a 13.6 @ 99mph with a Ludespeed Stage 2 and Ludespeed Exhaust... the time slip is in the southeast forum...

i would recommend Tom... real nice guy, and he did a good job on installing my Minnam for me...

me and AWD-River are going to compare kits one day at the track... we'll see how it goes!

I fired off Tom an email last week in regards to his turbo kit. I've yet to hear anything bad about him or the quality of his parts and I think that this is going to be my best bet with buying a kit. Now I just have to wait for a response I guess. :)

Sanders- Did Tom say anything about shipping the IC's soon? I've got a MY99 also, what are you running to 'save' the MAF?

13.6 WOW :D That's a good run. Granted it's not earth shattering, but a helluva lot faster than my N/A version. Heck it's a helluva lot faster than most things on the road. Good job!!

subenutt: it wasn't me running the car nor was it my car... my car is a MY99 with Minnam Stage 2 with a Wolf EMS on order, so hopefully me and AWD-River could get some fun going...

AWD-River's MY0? RS Sedan is running the stock MAP and a fuel pump regulator... before he had a 14.4 run on the stock exhaust, so when he replaced the exhaust he was able to net a better time!

i dont see Tom that often... so i wouldn't know about the IC's...

subenutt - I assume you got a stage 2 kit? Tom should be answering his email soon, he was on vaca last week and is just getting back to his email now.

I have to admit, dealing with Tom is just excellent. He is truely a great guy when it comes to dealing with him and getting kits. Also he kept us well-informed throughout the group buy (I set up a small board so that we can talk on there in the meantime, which he frequented a lot).
