Not sure if this should be in the newbie section but I figured it would be better answered here.

Whether it be asphalt or dirt/gravel/mud slidewaysmike 06-29-2001, 07:30 PM I think that i can explain it, but anyone else correct me if I am wrong or leaving something out.. Drifting is just basically getting the car to travel in a sideways direction. It is going to start out as an oversteer situation, but then instead of snapping around on you, you countersteer, and once you are moving in the right direction, and your front wheels are pointing in the generally right direction, you control the slide with the throttle. Easier said than done. Mike tonytiger 07-01-2001, 07:29 PM Slidewaysmike said it. One thing is that you can't drift with Fwd vehicle. AWD is so fine for this. Look WRC to see how to drift, so nice. They drift to go faster, but grip driving is more faster than drifting style. However in WRC you can't grip drive, in Formula 1s you can. You can make the car drift easily by using E-brake, but in AWD or 4wd it may result as in broken differential. SO don't use the E-brake with your Subie. tony EatMyAWD 07-01-2001, 09:11 PM One thing is that you can't drift with Fwd vehicle umm what???, is it just me or is drifting in a fwd easier than any other layout? I know for sure that many "purpose" built drift cars are fwd... oh and drifting is possible in any layout vehicle, just harder to control in some.
