go to the post office and tell them you need to send an international money order to the states...

Hey chopchop, imo unless your trust the person eg, long time member or someone else that had a transaction can vouch for them I would find another way (like credit card) that way you are insured for any loss and can stop payment.
I've had 15-20 online type of transaction's and never had any problem's.
I've only sent money orders to one business down south (for auto parts) it was my first online transaction and they only accepted money orders ( they did not like having to cover the 2-3% paypal fee). I was worried so I called the bbb in the georgia (I think it was)only to find their is no such business of that name on the records then I called the attorney general office of that state and found they had a valid business license. Only then did I sent the payment. I received my parts with a refund for the additional shipping that I payed.
I hope this helps, Just be cautious with your hard earned loonies. :alien:

MO is a good way to go to avoid Paypal fees <large sucking sound>
I recently sent one to NY priority post from Burnaby and it only took 3 days... I was amazed. Postage was $8 I think... and the MO cost $6... not bad.

how much does paypal charge? how many %?
Watch out, UPS is on strike right now and won't process parcels unless they are by air.

how much does paypal charge? how many %?Compare that to what UPS or Fedex charges... I was quoted $30 and $32 respectively for that same letter... no thanks. Canada Post Express is a huge bargain in comparison.
Paypal fees... in a word... suck. Last time I used them was 2.9%, which adds a lot on the bigger items.
