Does anyone know exactly what is needed to convert my 2003 WRX sedan's front end to a newer 04 or 05 WRX Front end. I live in Seattle, WA and I am serious about this front end conversion. Is there anyone who is willing to swap their 04 or 05 front end for my 03 front end, the color is OEM black with blue pearl, however I dont care what color is traded. I prefer a 05 front end with the black headlight housings. Also, what type of parts are needed and is there any major bodywork that is needed to be done in order to complete this conversion? Try contacting rallyperformance.com. They sell the front end and entire body shell for 04 WRX. Not sure if anyone tried to do it yet, but Ken Cole would know.

You need both fenders, hood, bumper/grill, and headlights. That's it. To see a swap just look at any 05 WRX. It will look just like that. ;)

Ok heres the deal. You need much more than just hood, bumper, headlights and fenders. I decided to take on this challange because I had a wrecked 03 and loved the STI. The headlight buckets behind the headlights are different, fenders, hood, bumper, and headlights are obvious but you also need the bumper mounts that both the bumper and headlights mount to. Fender liners need to be replaced. The lock mount, and lower radiator support are different also. I am still in the process and stuff is still arising that is different between the 03 and 04. The biggest headache so far is the wiring in the new headlights. The 04 is using a 9005 plug and 2 random ass subaru plugs that only come in a full harness compared to the 03 having a 9007 plug and one random ass subaru plug. I'll keep everyone posted with pics when done. Its not as easy as it sounds but its not the hardest either.
