I posted this in off-topic, since it's not a Scooby, but some of you rally fans might like to check it out:

The Open class rules allow engine swaps if from the same manufacturer, and drivetrains, suspension and brakes are free. Take 2200 lb 2-door Mirage econobox without a motor, a totalled but mechanically intact Galant VR4, give them to Bert "I can flame cut anything" Arano, and what do you get?

A whole lotta fun, that's what! :D

Well, I know it's not a Subaru, but it really is pretty cool...

okay Jon, it's cool. :D

I am mildly curious why no one has done this before...

Interesting to say the least. There have been a handful of 4G63 powered Mirage/Colts on the drag racing scene for a few years now, but all FWD I believe. I saw Nate Pharr's in person a few times. Looked like any other old crusty Colt on the road...until you notice the huge FMIC and then watch it run 11's
