One of my friends said he just saw a black WRX with slicks all the way around on the cover of a import magazine that said it ran 8.3 in the 1/4.
Anyone else see this?

There was a black wrx on dragsport but I dont think they have run 8 secs yet. They are attempting to.

check around... that black rex on d-sport is posted in one of these forums somewhere with the magazine pics and write-up included... user name i forget... selling his car though... it was built at payne-technologies etc.... i doubt if it ran in the 8's... but maybe... it has really just been finished up when the post with the mag article was posted, i don't think it had been to the track yet.... that was just a week or two ago...

sweet looking setup... water to air intercooler... turbo big enough to swallow small children... etc.

Its Stealth-Wrx's car.. It was built himself, with crawford building the motor, not sure where payne came from.. Here is his scans from his thread in 2.0 forum. Pretty sure it never went 8's, so mabey not the car phatron is talking about..

It is possible, but I guess he hasnt done it. If I'm not mistake the ESX WRX dynoes in that neighborhood as well.
I think my friend was full of ****e anyway because it doesnt have 4 slicks and it doesnt say it ran 8's.
This info came from a guy who's 1/4 mile time goes down everytime you talk to him.
Over the past year his time has gone from a 12.89 to a 12.0 with out ever going bcak to the track. The funniest part is that he believes himself.
I should have known he was full of it again.

But its not 542 on a dyno jet.It is also 542 without gas which im sure they used to get the 8.88.So would be more then 542 at the strip.

It is a 2002 it just has the 04+ conversion done to it.

Hey guys. Its my car. The car is actually completely different now. Bigger motor, way different turbo, and the car is about 400 lbs lighter. We have now turned it into my drag car. The concentration we have been working on is the suspension, chassis, and weight distribution. It will be done the second week in Decmeber.
