i was under the impression you could not direct fit a usdm sti 2.5 to the stock wrx heads... are you planning on altering/fabricating a special fitment??? correct me if i'm wrong there...

Yes you can use WRX heads on the 2.5L STi block. However, axis racing uses different pistons for that application so I think there is a compression difference. I believe the compression is higher if you go with the 2.5L and WRX heads, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

This turbo can make a little more then 300whp on the STi, however you'll need to have a custom oil line fabricated to run from the turbo to your stock oil line. I belive the Modified Magazine Project STi has this turbo on their car and they made something in the range of 320whp with an aftermarket TMIC.

Yes you can. We did it with our shop car with no fitment issues.

That was the GT-RS Kit...it's a bigger turbo than the 2540. I think they made a bit more than thought though, more like 350whp or so. The 2540 maxed out could make a good bit more than 300whp on a dynojet. It's not that small. The GT-RS is a nice kit though, too bad it's so pricy. :)

Pricey, but not a bad start...you could always put a GT28 on there ;) At least the turbo is already in a position where it's not restricted.
