Hi everyone,

Just a little background on myself and the car: I live in Hong Kong and I have a JDM V7 STi wagon. I am currently waiting to install the following parts:

1. Deadbolt Zilla TD06H 20G
2. PE 800cc injectors
3. Greddy FMIC
4. Greddy intake
5. Walbro 255L fuel pump
6. Greddy Profec B EBC

From my search on Nasioc, I understand most of you guys are running UTEC or EcuTek as engine management for tuning. However, since I live in Hong Kong, no one knows how to tune them. So I think UTEC and Ecutek are not suitable for me.

I currently have 2 choices:
1) go with e-manage and have it dyno tuned in Hong Kong
2) Send my ECU to Japan and tuned by ALEX (a famous tuner in Japan specialized in EVO and WRX)

Problem with e-manage is that I have very little confidence with the so called experts in HK.

Problem with sending the ECU to Japan is that there is no dyno tuning, I can only send him the list of mods I have.

So what are your opinion? Thanks in advance.

hi
I also have the same problem with you. There is no one around here to tune my car so I have to tune it myself. Imho it is not a such big deal cause the guys in nasioc really help about it. So I say go with the UTEC. I have a similar setup with you: Pe 800 cc inj., Garrett GT30-11, Walbro, APS Intake, APS DR725 FMIC. I can even send you my maps.

I even say that go with the AEM EMS. Imo standalone is a way better than any piggyback when you are seriously modding a car.
