Will my stock 03' headlight plugs work on 02' JDM Projectors. The guy that's selling them says that I need to buy a adaptor plug since they are not plug and play. If I do need to buy an adaptor plug does anyone know where to buy them?? Thanks. Later.

No they will not. You would have to buy or make a set of adapters. Some vendors sell the adapter harnesses, but you can also make your own. www.rallylights.com sells the male 9007 connectors to plug into your factory headlight connectors so you don't have to cut the wiring, and you can wire those into the JDMs.
Another thing you should consider before buying these is that the beam pattern is RHD and therefore improper for US roads. If you get these you should open them up and modify the internal plate to make the pattern flat, before installing them. You can also look for a set of EDM lights which already have the proper beam pattern.

How hard is it to open it up and grind it flat. I have been wanting the EDM projectors, but woudn't mind saving a few bucks and getting the JDM ones instead (seems that there are more deals on those).

There are some threads floating around about doing it. Check over on I-club as well, I think Imprezer did it a long time ago. It isn't exactly easy, a lot more work than just clearing the stock lights, but worth the effort as long as you aren't afraid of it.
You'd still be better off with the EDMs, since you don't have to mess with them and you'd still have the E-code __/ pattern. Once the JDMs are modified the beam will be flat. Also the EDMs have the leveling motors should you desire to use them, although you'll need to get the switch and harness.
It's true the EDMs are pricier and more scarce, but they do turn up used occasionally in the Private Classifieds.

IMO it'd be worth the extra $ to buy the EDMs.
I know I saw GB on some in the GB classifieds.. .not sure if it's still going on though. And I think cc-b sells them regularly (when/as he can get them -- cc-b.com I think)

The only EDM GB I know of was from a couple of years ago and unfortunately turned out to be a scam, very few people got lights and most lost their money. But CC-B does carry them and I believe SubyDude does as well.

edit- I see that somebody recently bumped the old GB thread, that's why you saw it. It's ancient history.
edit#2- I also do remember that SubyDude did a GB on these within the past year or so and that one did go well, but it's long over.

Hey Marvin,

I had my EDMs from CC-B. They take a long time to get when they are not in stock, about every 3 months. I say keep your stock headlights with the HIDs they put out more useful light than the projectors. Comparing all of them i would say stock headlights w/ hid > EDM w/ HID > JDM w/ HID.

If you decide to put HIDs in the projectors you'll also get a darkspot in your beam pattern because basically they weren't made for HIDs.

On another note the EDMs vs JDMs yeah the beam pattern is different but you can just aim the driver side down like everyone says. The one advantage would be that the EDMs light up all the roadsigns because of the beam pattern.

I would suggest taking a look at one of the other headlights for better light output like the UK300, the Morrette lights, or the WRC lights. The last 2 use hella light units. CC-B carry both the Morrette and the WRC lights. The UK300 lights I'm pretty sure Ferdie says they don't make them anymore.

Below are the WRC hella lights

thanks Chris, I gave up on changing the headlights. With the baby on the way, its not that important anymore. Besides, I think I got the lighting thing covered by now
