After putting a turbo in an RS, has anyone in CA had trouble with passing smog?

the only way you are going to pass smog is if you know someone or pay a little extra. im pretty sure if you set it up properly it WOULD pass smog but would fail visual inspection of course.

What do you mean by pay a little extra? Are you suggesting I bribe the smog checker? Or are you talking about some kind of refereeing for non-standard vehicles?

you probably would fail the visual if you even pass the smog test....unless of course you can make a Greddy smog legal turbo fit....it'd probably take some custom up/down pipes...but then you'd have to do that anyway.

The only other legal way is to return it to stock for the inspection.
