Any comments on this particular model turbo for an 2001 RS-T jobber. Ove the next year I will be assembling a kit and was wondering if this is a good place to start...

Too big, too small, too laggy? Help please.

Yes, here it is again! If you missed the last one, here's another freshly reman turbo with zero miles which should give you a serious power boost - normally up to 18 lbs depending on your particular setup. We are a turbocharger company and we will keep one of these up for auction until you stop bidding or the supply is depleted. Can be used on all your Fords, Hondas, Chevys, etc. It is wastegated so you do not have to buy extra external wastegates, Delta gates, etc. The compressor housing A/R is T04E series turbo (50) with a number 11 compressor wheel (Garrett P/N 442476-0011). Measurements on the compressor wheel: OD = 2.2", ID = 2,99", height = 1.5". The turbine housing is a t3 with .48 A/R, narrow base, open throat. The turbine shaft is a T3, slope ground to high performance specs.

T3/T4 hybrid - lots of folks use that for kits, seems like a good fit.

Well, most of the hybrids use the T04B compressor housing, not the E... not too sure what the major differences are as I am not too tubo savvy, but I think it's a little bigger than the B. It shouldn't be bad to use, if that is the case, it just might make boost a little higher (4th and 5th I'll see full boost around 3k rpm depending on where I get on it). How much is it going for?

Here's all the good stuff...

first one in this thread going for 250.00.

the one below is going for 175.00.

This one is similar, but not the same as our other hybrid! Note that it is a T04"B" and not the T04"E". The compressor housing inlet measurement is 4", the compressor wheel a/r is .60, and the turbine housing a/r is .48. This is one of a kind and should give you 13-18 lbs of boost, but the wastegate can be adjusted for more. This one would be better for your V8's than the other hybrid (T04E).

RyanC: Is this second one the one you are referring to? These types of turbos from "theturbohouse" have been going for around 300.00 upon close.

Does the a/r determine how fast the turbo spools?

That's the 'B' I was referring to. Looks like by their description the B has a bigger compressor wheel (laggier) than the 'E' (I wuz wrong! heheh). That's a good price though, I think turbonetics sells 'em new for almost $700. If you get it though, I'd ditch the wastegate it comes with and get a Tial.

Yea, the DRAG turbo kits use the T3/T4E, ...w/a ballbearing option.
Nice turbo, helped me get my GSR into the high 12's.(in street trim)
