View Full Version : how to change the foglight bulb Grey Ghost 12-12-2004, 03:58 AM As stated on the title. On a 02 WRX. Used search but cannot find it. Info will be greatly appreciated. Mulder 12-12-2004, 08:02 AM You have to remove the foglight from the bumper, three 10mm bolts (there is an adjusting screw in one corner, don't turn that). Once it's out unplug the connector (you don't have to but it makes it easier), open the rear cover and the bulb is there. Drav 12-13-2004, 01:23 PM What about for an 04? Mulder 12-13-2004, 01:31 PM I haven't looked at the fogs on an 04, but I'd assume it's similar as far as having to remove the lights from the bumper to get to the bulbs. zionvlad 12-13-2004, 08:07 PM it's pretty simple... here's how i did mine, i lifted my car, removed the fender well lining (becareful with those black pins, as they are easy to break) by using a flat head screwdriver to pry the middle part then pull the rest of the pins. then crawl under your car u will see your foglamp housing then unplug the wire and then push the holder of the bulb. thats it, easy.... i have to admit that the driverside bulb is kind PITA to replace other than that it's pretty easy. if you have anymore questions just fire away. hope this helps. :) Bishop 12-14-2004, 04:06 AM for the 04's it's way easier if you take the fog light surround off. trust me. it's not that hard to figure out once you get that off. Dolamite 04-27-2005, 03:29 PM My foglight on the driver side is out. I've changed the foglight on my Saturn before, how much would labor be if I took it to a dealership? ATX25RS 04-27-2005, 04:58 PM 55w is stock wattage. i say go ahead and replace both. thats what i was talking about 15 minutes. i would say go with some hella yellowstars. although if you just want to replace one, go to autozone and get their 55w sylvania oem replacement, should be the same color and brightness. but for about $5 each you might aswell upgrade to hellas :D www.rallylights.com Dolamite 04-27-2005, 06:06 PM Thanks ATX25RS. ATX25RS 04-27-2005, 07:50 PM oh yeah after all that i forgot to mention not sure if you got the bulb size, but they are h3's Johnzim63 04-27-2005, 11:25 PM PIAA Ion Gold. They rule. :) |
