I have a 2002 WRX with JDM projectors. I came across a good deal on some 04 STi headlamps. Is it possible to take the HID stuff off of the 04s and put them into the JDMs?

Also, what wiring changes would I have to do? I also have all of the plugs that go with the 04 headlamps, which will make it a little easier.

I would like to get this figured out soon, because I am dying to try it out.

No this will not work, you will be wasting your time and money if you try it.
If your JDM projectors are unmodified you should open them up and fix the beam pattern before thinking about HIDs, in fact this is a good idea even with the existing halogens.

Why would it not work?

Just wondering.

Because-
Your JDM lights are made for H1 halogen bulbs. The STi lights use D2R HID bulbs which will not mount in the H1 housings. You cannot "make them fit" either.
The only type of HID setup that can be installed in your lights is an aftermarket one with bulbs that have been "rebased" to fit the H1 housings. Unfortunately even if you install such a kit you still have the beam pattern issue to contend with.

Ok, makes sense.
