I saw the HID output for a IS 300 (NEW), very bad for hid light. My 04 wrx halogen has same output , WHY ??

If I get 04sti headlight It will be same output for the lexus ??

The beam pattern in US headlights is generally not that great, even in cars with factory HIDs- it's just brighter in those. You will get more light from STi headlights vs. your factory halogen WRX lights, but I can't say how it will compare to the ones in the Lexus as I haven't seen them (other than perhaps passing one on the road).
Regulations and specs in Europe result in headlights with superior beam patterns, this is why many of us upgrade to E-code lights such as Morettes.

I found that the STI HID's were not as potent as the Ecode Morette HID's. However the High beams (combination were better).

USDM STi HID's are REFLECTOR-type HID's... they work the same way as halogens but just use a HID bulb. they're brighter, but not that bright since a lot of light is wasted due to the reflective style. the jdm morretts used projector HID's which have a much sharper beam definition, and a much lower light loss factor.

now, if they only made projectors for the 04+ WRX market... that would be sweet! I'm thinking BiXenon projectors where the high beams currently are, and standard halogens in the outer section...

Also, the hi beam combo... the HID portion of the light assembly does not produce any more light when u use the high beam... the center H3 halogens are simply turned on when u flick the high beam switch...

Understood. I was comparing the HID/halogen ( low beam/high beam ) combination of the morette vrs. the HID/halogen combination STI. In my opinion this combination is better in the STI than in the morrette. Perhaps it would be easier to say the STI has better high beams and Morette has better low beams (when using HID's).
