well i finally got to a 1/4 mile track. there's only a 1/8 mi track here. my roommate wanted to go before he deployed to the desert again so i said ok. we drove from fort walton beach, florida to hattiesburg, mississippi (hub city dragway). we made the trip in 2.5 hours (190 miles). well, i didn't do as good as i hoped. here's my best time:

i had three 13.3xx runs. my mods are perrin catless dp, hks catback, k&n intake. i get crazy boost creep but only hit fuel cut once (top of 4th crossing the line). well, how do you guys think i did? am i being to hard on myself or i'm i right to be expecting more. temps were mid 60's. btw, there was a cadillac cts-v that ran 14.4xx. that sucks.

190 miles is a killer...our cars don't perform as strong after a couple hours of driving. Good times, work on the 60ft (1.7 or lower) it'll make the biggest diff top end. You should also be trapping 103mph+, shift faster!!! Get a kartboy shifter and bushings, they make a diff. Good luck!!

Yeah, I don't think you did too bad considering you just drove a couple hours and there was probably lots of humidity when you finally did your runs.

If you are at Fort Walton Beach there is a 1/8 mile track about 20 mins from Gulf Breeze, I don't remember the name but is a small track down there in the forest going towards I-10 from Hwy 98.

I use to be stationed there at Hurlburt Field AB and I use to go to that track once in a while. You should check if there is a track around there also(Pensacola or Panama city) either way is around 45min drive from Fort Walton beach. Good luck!!

i used to be stationed down there.. Spectre!!! yeah let me tell you how fun that was.. NOT!!.. but anyways. the track you are talking about Sonic is Holt and its on 1/8 but there were talking about getting the extra land and extending it 8 months ago. There are no other tracks but the one in mississippi that are 1/4.

yeah, i know of the track @ holt. my best there is 8.44. they are closed now till jan. i'm stationed @ hurlburt. u-models. about to leave in april though to korea then japan again.

You need some driving lessons if your not shifting 5th.

In my BONE STOCK STi I am shifting 5th gear near the 1000' mark.

Shift faster... much faster :)

p.s.s. I ran 13.3 stock 1.86 60' and 13.0 with a tb exhaust and a intake and with the addition of a stereo system. Next time I am going to lighten up the ride and take a crap first :p to get in the 12's

i'm shifting into 5th. i was just stating that i hit fuel cut @ the top of 4th on one of the runs which pretty much killed that run. i'm shifting around 6500-6700 rpm.
