I went to the dyno again to see what my custom header and cat combo might net me. N/A RS' don't usually come in here, but I'll tangle with almost anybody ;). I don't have batteries for my camera, so I can't put up the dyno plots yet.

Mods for '00RS:

-Hack job of a ram air intake
-K&N replacement filter
-torque chip 1 (old skool)
-lightweight stock dia crank pulley
-custom headers
-single mangaflow cat
-TB bypass mod
-vented emissions lines
**NO CEL AFTER 400mi. in 30 degree weather (crosses fingers.)

155wtq@2700 rpm
140whp@5800 rpm

Any comparisons? When run against my last dyno run, I gained about 7hp and 5 ft/lbs to the wheels with the header and cat. The low torque rpm still surprises me. It's not what I thought would happen, but worth the dough anyway. When the blowers go on, it'll make a lot bigger difference. That was the whole point with uncorking it. When (supercharged) boost goes on, things are going to change. Compared to another RS with similar mods on that same dyno, we were tied with torque, but I had him by 9hp starting at 4500rpm. His torque peak was also a higher rpm at 3700, compared to 2700 on mine. BTW, he had borlas and a random tech cat compared to my custom headers and magnaflo cat. Thoughts?

I seem to get that a lot.............

Think about this for a sec. I'm putting two blowers, secondary injectors, timing control, 3 core WAIC, RRFPR, flywheel, clutch, suspension, full exhaust, STI mounts, new bushings...It'll be worth the wait. It's been done in the order of me getting tuning parts first, while the blowers get further development. Nothing like this happens overnight, no matter how much money you throw at it. It takes work. Especially when trying to make it pass emissions, and keep a/c and p/s.

Where's the blower? It's in there somehwere ;) :p.

Here's the dyno plots

I bridged the lines together from both sides of the head, and then tee'd them off to a small filter. It took about 10 bucks and 5 minutes. Maybe making a page on how to do it wouldn't be a bad idea.
