Just wanted to say Chaste Auto is what I would call a "perfect" vendor to deal with. Jeff does everything in his power to make your experience with Chaste Auto the best. Jeff goes completely out of the way to help you out. I couldn't thank him enough for doing this. Even during his off hours, he is still working hard and helping people. Also, without a doubt the best customer service. Shipping was perfect, so perfect that my engine arrived way before I anticipated. If you want nothing but the best, give Jeff a ring - you will glad you did.

:furious: :furious: :furious:
So I asked Chaste if they would be able to get me a USDM STI trunk trim(carpet around i/c Spray bottle) on 6/10/04. They finally get back to me on 6/16/04 and said they could get one. So I asked when it would come in....a few days i was told...so on 7/8/04 they got one in and I sent paypal for $60 for the item. Item was sent out and I was supposed to recieve it on the 16th or so. never got it...On 8/3/04 I contacted them again asking where it was...apperantly UPS lost it. They said it was the 3rd time that happened this week. So I go back and fourth with Chaste and UPS to put a trace on it. It was lost. They then said he had a friend in Chicago that had one and he would get him to ship it to me. Never happened. So Chaste said they would refund my $60 on 10/25/04. Finally got the credit on 11/2/4. They said that for my trouble they would send out a new trunk trim piece for me free of charge. I thought..GREAT, we need vendors like this that try to make things right..They said they ordered it from Subaru and were waiting for it to come in. Then on 12/8/04 I sent them an email and tried contacting them by phone asking if it came in yet and got no response. Still have not heard from them. So it has been 6 months now and I still have not gotten the trunk trim. It was not expected that they get me a new trim piece, but when they offer to do something like that, DO IT! Dont leave the customer hangin for 6 months. So basically everything they told me I believe to be lies. . Makes me wonder if it was ever sent the first time. I will never deal with Chaste Automotive again. :furious: :furious: :furious:

So on 12/10/04 I said that I was not going to wait for them anymore and decided to order it from www.subaruparts.com. They said it may take 4-10 days for them to get. Was just notified that it was shipped out to me. So I guess the part is not on a world backorder. They only charged $75 for it brand new. Sould have done that in the first place. :)

thats not the first time I've heard bad things about them. Thats also not the first time I've heard people say they were never going to deal with Chaste again. From what I've heard, they're not very professional and responsible when it comes to their business.

But doesn't the vendor rules say that the stuff you advertise for sale need to be IN STOCK? I guess anyone can be a vendor here by faking an "inventory".

Big ups to Chaste. Got my Tein S Techs from them, $180. Was offered $220 for springs and install. Turns out it wasn't the price, but they still honored the first price. My HKS blow off valve was disconnected and I needed a C clamp. I went over there and they put the blow off valve back together for me perfectly.

Chaste is a great vendor, I've been there twice to get my car worked on and they don't overcharge you like aerosim would. Jeff is a very personable guy, Shuji bought food for me and also gave me a ride to my house to get parts. They don't treat you like an average joe customer but more like a buddy. Man, I forgot to gap the spark plugs and Jeff let me use his tools and shop space as well as showing me how to take out the spark plugs. Just my personal experience.

Wow. I don't think it's your posts thats affecting his business  It's good to have a vendor review to allow people to search about where we should spend our money and take our cars to. I mean, how would we have a good indication of a vendor if that vendor threatens the people who give them bad feedback?

I second that! :o I gotta raise the B.S. flag on that one!
Thats what this is here for. If the story/ experience is factual, then that is that. Move on & practice better buisness.

I know Shuji, like I said you were misinformed. He was actually following me. He had never been the the I.E. Meet before, so we met up so he could follow me to the meet, & check it out. And trust me, he wasn't trying to "race" me. His stock car wouldn't stand a chance against my Stg4 car. ;)
I just think it sucks that a buisness that seems to has/have is fair share of negative reviews, would ask one person (a kid that wouldn't know any better at that!) to remove/delete a post/thread on a public forum because it's "affecting" his buisness, or "legal" action would accure. Is every one w/ negative feedback being told this? Or just this kid that may be easy to intimadate?
Thats why the "vendor review forum" is here... right?
Shuji, you know that we are cool, & I don't have any beef w/ you or Chaste Automotive personaly. This is just my opinion, & I bet many others would agree.
I think his story/ experience should stay on here. This is where things like that should be, for every one else to view/review. And let everyone make their own decision of what they think. If Jeff is worried about this stuff "affecting" his buisness, the best thing he can do is to move on & start/keep doing more good/better work. ;)
Again, I'm not trying to rub anyone the wrong way or step on any toes. This is just my opinion, I'm just one person. If there is anything I can get you or help you with, you know I will do what I can, as I hope you would do the same. :) :alien:

oh ok, sorry i must have heard wrong. sorry my English still suck :(

yeah what im not happy with him is that i tried to treat him nicely and kindly via PMs and i answered all his questions and like i said on first page, i even told him to take it easy for first couple days. and then, he blow his second gear the next day Jeff installed.
i'm pretty sure Jeff used a new throw out bearing and Nathan is saying that Jeff used his old throw out bearing...
last Monday, we found two clutchs while we were cleaning out the shop which are my old clutch and Nathan's. whats up with that?

and yes i think it is good to have a vendor review to allow people to search.
im not saying that it is not have a vender review or anything. i just hate it when people post something wrong or not true and that affect to people's business...

and sorry again, my English suck wish i can say things nicely... :(

I totaly understand & agree w/ you Shuji. I don't think it would be right to post something untruthful. But if someone is sharing their expeience, & it's factual, and writen in truth. Then all that can be done, is to move on & try to do the best you can to prevent the situation from reaccuring. Although after having the experience of working in & partially running a shop, I know there's different ways to go about things, & handle things. I know you can't make everyone happy. ;) Thanks for not taking my opinion the wrong way, I was just making a point. :)

I still have had no problems with Jeff @ Chaste.

In their defense, they did move locations and are constantly racing (Group N)-and yes, they do travel. You do know they race and build cars right? As for sales, they more of a importer for rare JDM parts; rather carry your avg TXS and Perrin parts. When you start to play with rare JDM parts, time is a HUGE factor.

I never said they were perfect, hell, no vendor is, but its not like they arent trying. I come from GM upper level and I see this type of stuff in and out of all the dealerships I walk into. Not everyone can be kept satisfied

My opinion still stands on Jeff from my original post. Jeff is the man and a good friend.

Well the issue was the Throw out bearing comment, we took too long on the transmission stuff happens once into customs beyond my control that is the deal. We never had or never will use an old throw out bearing and that was what i took exception to. He can post about the 6-speed taking too long that is completely factual but I do have a problem with the throwout bearing comment. I have dealt with his dad and I told him my whole issue was with the throw out bearing comment not the trans and I told his dad that it was baseless and totally untrue and that he needed to delete that part. So now we all have clarity. As far as the pics I took them when we had time and we hae tons of stuff that customers just leave here, I hardly have the time to find some pressure plates with the throwout bearing just for fun.
