I can't say enough about Al and www.dynoflash.com. He does some amazing tuning Before he got to my car it was a mess. no pull, super laggy, way to rich, making only 253whp. i was ready to get rid of the thing after all the money i've put into it. i told him i wanted atleast 280whp or i was selling the car  we came very close with 277.4whp at 17PSI.

i can't believe the difference his tuning made as opposed to my previous tune. it is like i have a new car. the power curve it extremely smooth. the dyno malfunctioned half way through the tune so i will be going back during the week to see what else we can lay down.

well worth the money and i would recommend Al's ECUtek dynoflash tuning to anyone, even the through the mail tunes. i will be back with an update at the end of the week.

My mods are-
ECUtek
VF23
Greddy FMIC w/Type S BOV
Gutted stock up pipe
HKS Down Pipe
Tanabe Hyper Medallion Catback
STI Injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
TB Racing Light Weight Pulley
Perrin Inlet Hose
Perrin Short Ram Intake

Thanks for the kind words !

The car wa srunning very smooth and very fast - the Ecutek is an amazing platform and I only wish I could have had one to play with on my ole WRX

Too bad the dyno broke before we could complete today's tune

We have a bit more smoothing and tuning to do to complete the process but its running fairly well now - expecially considering that the peak boost was in the low 17's

stickman- the car was tuned on 93octane. we could have achieved higher numbers but there was a dyno malfunction and we couldn't finish the tune. with race gas we could pull 300whp.

thanks for the comments ed. how is your car doing?

Wonderful. :D

Glad you got it all sorted out. Tuning is the most important thing you can do if you're bolting stuff on. Getting everything working together makes driving the car sooo much better.

Al how much for a off the shelf map ecutek reflash?I do not offer off the shelf flash for ecutek.

As of this writing I am offering special promotional offers on the Ecutek flashes wherein I supply 2 hours of complimentary custom tuning and dyno time along with the base flash.

Ok how much for that? And how long is the deal good for?Ecutek prices are uniform - all dealers are required to adhear to the same pricing levels which are $650 for the WRX and $750 for the STI - some dealers may charge more - but those are the minmum prices

For the time being - I am throwing in 2 hours of custom tuning and dyno time with the base flash price

I am unsure how long I will continue with this promotion

(its a great deal for those who are getting it)

Tune was awesome. Al takes his time and doesn't rush things which is a ++++. Unfortunely my front o2 sensor was messed up so my tune couldn't get in, but we're getting through that right now. Very recommended. Great service. And Al is a great dude...werd! :p

BTW I pmed you Al...this is after I talked to you online...like 2am 12/21/04

Those are impressive numbers for the turbo and the boost being run... Must pull like stink for most of the rev range...

Pardon my ignorance, but does the VF23 not spool almost as early as the stock turbo??

with the fmic i am getting full boost around 3400rpms. the car pulls like a bat out of hell through the mid range, which is what the vf23 is known for. hangs pretty well on top. boost falls to 16psi at redline. i can't wait to have al finish the tune. we only got half way through the dyno runs, each one looking better and better!
