Hi guys.. I'm going to be purchasing an 2002 Impreza 2.5RS in the next couple days. Just doing a lot of research before I buy. I've already gone for a test drive and I love it.

I just want to get a better idea of how much some of you paid for your car. So I know how low the dealers are willing to go. And if u can list what options you got with the car would be great..

Any tips would be a great help too.

Ahhh, all those people in the US that pay so little for their cars. I think the RS still sells MSRP for like $27,995. I just bought my car last december, it was a 2000 clearance which they had $25,500 on the sticker. I managed to talk them down some, but they used the good old "we've already discounted the price of the car a lot, so theres not much room to move". The best thing to do is to start picking accessories you want. It seemed to be easier to get them to include options or accessories on the car than to get the price down. I got an alarm for mine that way, although I probably could have gotten more, its my first new car so I didn't bicker as much.

Plus I really wanted that shiny red beautiful piece of art :D and they knew it(doh). The 2000 RS's didn't have any options except a CD player, so there wasn't any choice there.
