I see many threads on this issue, but i dont seem to see many that were fixed.

2002 WRX no mods 22000miles
Im leaving on a trip to tahoe on the 26th the CEL light came on today the 24th with P0303. I have occasionally had a rough idle. Is this problem fixable or are they just gonna clear the CEL?

what do you guys think about me going to tahoe with this issue?

Just go ahead and clear the CEL for your trip. Try this in the future: when starting the car, turn the key to the ON position (right before start) and leave it there for about 5 seconds before you start your car. If you never see the CEL again, problem solved, if you do, time to take it to the dealer.

so its a possibility that i am not letting the fuel pump go on long enough and that causing the rough idle at startup (misfire on cylinder 3)?

when i search for this code on the forum i see a lot of people with the same problem but i have not seen anone with the problem resolved.
