I tried to get some wipers for this car last night at Walmart and the calculator had no listing for any brand name wipers. I went tho the Federal Mogul (Anco) web site and they had no listing either. Is there something special about these?

No it's called sucky software at Wal-Mart. When you have a new car, they never have the right info. Refer to your owners manual for the sizes, but I'm pretty sure you need a 17" and a 23" wiper for the front. Alternately (this is no lie) you have have your dealer warranty replace them as they are covered in the 3/36 warranty oddly enough. Otherwise, any brand of wiper either inserts or replacements should fit.

17" and 22" actually ;). They are covered by the 3/36 plan though :). We replace them all the time under warranty here.

I replaced my wipers with Nissan refills (just the rubber part). They perform a lot better than the Subaru parts - I don't know why, but they do. I posted the Nissan part numbers a while back.

If you want to splurge, get the PIAA silicone wipers. :)
